Ashura, Bonfires and Music.
By Nour Eddine Tisalghani
Ashura is a time of celebration, smiles, gathering. In Morocco, this celebration of the Muslim religion lasts for two days and celebrates youth and family. A friendly event where people meet to eat, dance, play music and percussion on a taarija. A beautiful moment captured by moroccan film director and photographer Nour Eddine Tilsaghani in an exhibition “Ashura … Bonfires and music.” A work he published in 2012.
